I know this isn’t major sustainability news, but I love Whole Foods and I love this new free app they just released today. It not only gives you the nearest store locations, but it also has over 2,000 Whole Foods recipes that you can sort a number of ways. My favorite thing about it is the ability to get recipes based on what you have on hand. Check out the features:
- Filter by categories such as Budget, Cooking with Kids, and Quick & Easy
- Target special diets, including gluten-free, lowfat, and vegetarian/vegan
- Find recipes that use ingredients you already have with our On-Hand Search feature.
- You can also use our store locator to find the Whole Foods Market locations near you, or search by ZIP code. Each store page includes links to the store’s website and weekly specials.
The Good: The best place to shop just got better by making your iPhone more useful for your overall health.
The Bad: There are not more Whole Foods around.
The Bottom-Line: It’s a useful and free app. Go get get it.
