animals are not the problem, humans are the problem. And if a CO2-issue
really exists and we want to eat meat, my calculations indicate that we
should eat humans rather than pigs or cows. Make the calculations for a
pound of human flesh and compare it to a pound of beef or pork. You will be
surprised.

Livestock emissions are a uniquely human created problem seeing as our
demand for meat drives the industrial farms responsible for much of
the emissions. Animals in general are not the issue, it's the ones we
raise for consumption and supporting industry.

CO2-emissions must be calculated from 'Field-to-Fart' and it's indeed amazing how much CO2 is generated. Most living creatures can be regarded as reciprocal engines and these "God-made" facilities combust oxygen to generate heat and work while exhaling CO2 and H2O. The efficiencies are low so most of the food is given back to the surroundings as manure and exhaust gases. In addition we must add the extra work and power that is needed to manage the growth of food and the daily running of the piggery. But ...... we have a tendency to focuss on animals as the harmfull elements on this globe. I challenge you to make the same calculations for human. And add the "man-made"CO2-emission on their account. You will truly be amazed.
